[SOLVED] dhcpcd can't find any interfaces

Hi
So I recently set up Arch on a bunch of pc's to use as servers, but one of them seems to have a problem. On all of the eth0 didn't work as the default interface, so I disabled dhcpcd@eth0 and enabled which ever interface came up for them after restarting dhcpcd. That worked for all of them, but now after I have moved them, one of them stopped working. dhcpcd says it timed out, and gives the same error if i try to start it with any interface. The ifconfig (I installed it before I moved the pc) command just outputs the "lo" interface. Restarting dhcpcd or just running "dhcpcd" do nothing.

Any help would be appreciated

If ifconfig only reports lo, tthen dhcpcd will only see that as well.

It sounds like your network card came loose when you moved the PC.

it looks like you "lost" your network card (or chip) while moving.

lspci 
lsmod

can tell us that.

It is an onboard card, so unless my motherboard just broke or something, it shouldn't be loose.

lspci doesn't report anything that looks like an ethernet controller or network card.
lsmod doesn't either, but I might be missing it there; lots of names I don't recognize, but nothing looks promising.

Ummm...
It just fixed itself. I just did a ifconfig to check, and suddenly it sees the interface now. ping works and everything, I didn't even do anything. Weird

My thoughts were that your running kernel did not match the kernel (and modules) that are actually installed.
Did you, per chance, reboot?

I did, although I rebooted multiple times trying to fix it before. Something else must have happened this time. I'll mark the thread as solved now, thanks for the help.
