rygel and iptables (airvpn network lock)

rygel works fine, starts and serves as expected.

However, when I use the airvpn openvpn client with network lock I can't serve media files through rygel anymore. I guess it's related to the activated network lock. When I start rygel I get this error message:

** (rygel:10917): WARNING **: Error sending SSDP packet to x.x.x.x: Error sending message: Operation not permitted

where x.x.x.x is my public facing vpn address.

I don't know why rygel would want to send packets to that address or why it can't ignore the network lock if all I need is a working local network.
