Hello all,
I am trying to setup a bridge using systemd-networkd as described in
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sy … _interface
My systemd.network-files look as follows
# /etc/systemd/network/br0.netdev
[NetDev]
Name=br0
Kind=bridge
# /etc/systemd/network/br0.network
[Match]
Name=br0
[Network]
DHCP=yes
# /etc/systemd/network/enp0s3.network
[Match]
Name=enp0s3
[Network]
Bridge=br0
After boot, it looks like the following
$ ip addr show
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1
link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
inet6 ::1/128 scope host
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
2: enp0s3: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel master br0 state UP group default qlen 1000
link/ether 08:00:27:94:0b:ac brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
inet6 fe80::a00:27ff:fe94:bac/64 scope link
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
3: br0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UP group default qlen 1000
link/ether 6a:60:21:99:dd:7a brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
inet6 2003:6c:ca41:d542:6860:21ff:fe99:dd7a/64 scope global mngtmpaddr noprefixroute dynamic
valid_lft 604784sec preferred_lft 86384sec
inet6 fe80::6860:21ff:fe99:dd7a/64 scope link
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
As you can see, no ipv4-address is assigned to the bridge.
But if i change the bridges MAC-address to the MAC-address of enp0s3 and restart systemd-networkd
$ sudo ip link set address 08:00:27:94:0b:ac dev br0
$ sudo systemctl restart systemd-networkd
everything works great.
Is the bridge supposed to get enp0s3's MAC-address? And if yes, how do I configure that in the corresponding network-file.
With regards,
