[SOLVED]Ralink RT-3290 Wifi Dropping after changing bluetooth settings

Hi,

I have the Ralink RT-3290 WiFi and Bluetooth hardware on my arch Linux machine. After installation the WiFi worked fine (about 3-4 months) till I tried to make the Bluetooth work as well. I followed different posts to make my Bluetooth work but it failed to work, so I gave up. I noticed that now my WiFi works fine as long as I don't have high download/upload speeds. About 30 seconds after my download speed reaches approximately 1 Mbps my WiFi drops and I cannot connect to my WiFi till I turn off the WiFi hardware and turn it back on.

Some relevant debugging messages:

# dmesg | grep wlp3s0f0

Are you sure that it started happening immediately after your bluetooth tinkering? How old is the hardware?

Yes, I'm sure. Hardware (laptop) is two years old.

Anyway, after trying everything, I simply changed the WiFi channel to 6 and it's fixed now. Thanks.

Haha, good to know that you fixed it. Please edit your first post and prepend [solved] to the title.
