I'm running a vanilla Arch install with Openbox and Plasma, updated virtually every day from core, extra, community. I prefer Openbox and QT apps, but use some GTK apps (FF, TBird, hexchat).
Last night, I installed lumina-desktop from the Aur. Poked around a bit, used it for a while, logged out. Upon trying to log back in, aside from Openbox failing, going into Plasma resulted in most QT apps failing whenever I type anything. For example, kate, konsole, krusader - if I type anything, the app closes/fails. I've been looking for logfiles to try and get any indication of what's wrong, but finding the cause has been elusive.
I installed gnome-terminal and tried to launch konsole and hexchat (the one gtk app that fails):

I have completely wiped and reinstalled qt/qt5, plasma, sddm, xorg/xserver. I moved all config files to a backup directory, wiped all caches from my home directory and /var/cache, and reinstalled X, sddm, plasma, etc. allowing them to pull in qt following the wiki guides for a new install.
I can't find anything that indicates the root problem, and would prefer to use the tools to which I am accustomed. Any help would be appreciated; I am more than happy to provide more specifics.

Sigh, I created a new user and everything worked.

I have exactly the same problem since last night but I just cannot change my user.
Does anyone have a clue on how to solve this ?
I already looked in my config files but could not detect anything special.
If I login as another user that did not use lumina I have no problem at all. Seems lumina conflicts with glibc somewhere. I tried KDE plasma and xfce4 and both show the same problem.
