Hello,
since a couple of days my networkmanager does not start (but networking is working generally). But I cannot connect to VPNs etc. as they are not listed in KDE's connection manager/editor.
Here is an excerpt from the journalctl:
-- Unit NetworkManager.service has begun starting up.

Unfortunately not proficient enough to figure out the next debugging/error tracing steps.

Is there any NetworkManager process running ( ps aux | grep -i -E "(networkmanager|nm)" )?
If so, try to kill 'em all and restart the service.

Thanks for your reply.
No, it doesn't seem to be runnning:
% ps aux | grep -i -E "(networkmanager|nm)"
root 1273 0.0 0.0 63976 5756 ? Ss 10:40 0:00 /usr/bin/connman-vpnd -n
root 1316 0.0 0.0 62580 6308 ? Ss 10:40 0:00 /usr/bin/connmand -n

You have connman running. Connman has NM compatibility (which is enabled in the Arch package), so that explains this:
Oct 01 10:44:55 userx NetworkManager[1562]: <error> [1475311495.5809] bus-manager: could not acquire the NetworkManager service as it is already taken
You probably want to disable connman.

Thanks a lot, that solved the problem. I just noticed that connman came as a dependencies for some package VPN package that I installed to test something.
