Broadcom BCM4352 on Arch

Hi,

I have a couple of laptops on Arch and want to move the last one over. It has the Broadcom BCM4352 wireless adapter which has been a bit flaky on Ubuntu which the laptop runs now. Connection speeds are great but after a while it starts dropping connections ending in a reboot of the machine. Is it possible that support for this adapter will be better, as in more stable, on Arch? If someone have experiences with this adapter on Arch it would be great to know what they are. Any other advice with regards to this wireless adapter would be great as well.

Re: Broadcom BCM4352 on Arch

I've seen the issue you describe in Arch, looks to me like a bug in the wireless roaming code. For some reason, while the card is connected attempts to scan for other nearby networks causes the driver to crap out and make the device useless until reboot.

Since it only connects to a single wireless network I'm using a manual connection via netctl. NetworkManager and other trigger the above behavior. Hope this info is useful.
