wpa_parse_wpa_ie_rsn: invalid group cipher

I just did my first arch installation and I'm having a problem making wpa_supplicant connect to a wireless network.

There's something strange with the network. I can't connect with my laptop (Gentoo). I can connect with my Raspberry Pi (using the same wpa_supplicant.conf entry as my laptop). I can connect with my phone (Android 5.0.1).

And I can't connect with my NUC running Arch. I get the following error when running wpa_supplicant with the debug option:

wpa_parse_wpa_ie_rsn: invalid group cipher 0x0 (000fac05)
wlp2s0: skip RSN IE - parse failed
wlp2s0: reject due to mismatch with WPA/WPA2

Does anybody know where the group cipher is obtained? Is it from the wireless router, or is it something in wpa_supplicant.conf setting somewhere?
