gvfs mount of smb shares in Thunar keeps asking for password

I configured LDAP authentication according to the wiki. Login in XFCE works perfectly. But when trying to access a smb share on a remote server, which uses the same LDAP authentication server, Thunar presents me a dialogue asking for credentials.

How can I tell gvfs/Thunar to use the same credentials for the smb server as for login?
