[SOLVED] 5Ghz ac wireless network and DHCP renew problem

Edit
I have now tried the adapter on a wpa-configsection network (eduroam) and it works fine. Looks like it is a virgin media hardware related issue. I have seen some posts reporting similar problems on virgin forums. Closing as is unrelated to arch.

Hello,

can you please help me identify problems with my network. I have Virgin Media Superhub 2 AC and bought Alfa Network AWUS036AC usb wifi adapter to use on 5GHz network. When I use WPA2 or WPA/WPA2 with the 5GHz network I get dissociation/association every ~5min. I have pinned down the problem to DHCP client not responding to DHCP renew from the AP. There are no problems when using 5GHz without WPA, or using 2.4GHz with WPA. Both dhclient or dhcpcd behave the same.
