[Solved] Calibre segmentation fault

Since upgrading to the latest Calibre ( 2.77.0-2 incl. dependencies), it is segfaulting. It was running fine about 10 days ago when I last used it.

  • Both Calibre and its dependencies have been installed from the official repository. All packages upgraded with pacman -Suy

  • I tried removing the related Calibre dirs - .config/calibre and .cache/calibre. It still segfaults

  • Rebooting didn't help

  • Tried downgrading a few packages as suggested in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=169364. Again, no luck.

  • Strace here - http://pastebin.ca/3759567

Is anybody else facing these problems? Any suggestions/workarounds?

Re: [Solved] Calibre segmentation fault

Try downgrading python2-pip and python2-pyqt5 without downgading calibre.

Re: [Solved] Calibre segmentation fault

Thanks for filing the bug. New Calibre version's out (2.77.0-3) and has no segfaults anymore. (Just FYI, downgrading the packages didn't work in my case)
