Xorg crashing and dumping core

Some time in the last few weeks, my system started crashing back to the login screen (lightdm).

running

journalctl -xe

I found this:

Not sure what else I should be looking for or where to go from here to mitigate/work around the issue or if it should be reported as a bug. If it should be reported, I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Thank you.

Re: Xorg crashing and dumping core

What version of Xorg are you using? Plus are you using the proprietary graphics card drivers like nvidia/amd? Did you also install xorg with:

pacman -S xorg

Which installs all xorg packages. I'm not experiencing any type of crashes so this is new to me.

For me, adding three patches from here to xorg-server fixes the crashes with the latest xorg and Intel.

I don't remeber how I installed it, it's been at least 2 years since I set this system up

I did run -S xorg for fun, and while it offered to reinstall most things, it did offer to install a few packages so I let it continue.

Using the intel driver, most recent version of x in the core repo.

I thought it was related to a driver bug recently introduced. Hopefully the patches make it up stream soon enough.
