-- Process 1548 (Xorg) crashed and dumped core.
--
-- This usually indicates a programming error in the crashing program and
-- should be reported to its vendor as a bug.Not sure what else I should be looking for or where to go from here to mitigate/work around the issue or if it should be reported as a bug. If it should be reported, I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
Thank you.

What version of Xorg are you using? Plus are you using the proprietary graphics card drivers like nvidia/amd? Did you also install xorg with:
pacman -S xorgWhich installs all xorg packages. I'm not experiencing any type of crashes so this is new to me.

I don't remeber how I installed it, it's been at least 2 years since I set this system up
I did run -S xorg for fun, and while it offered to reinstall most things, it did offer to install a few packages so I let it continue.
Using the intel driver, most recent version of x in the core repo.

For me, adding three patches from here to xorg-server fixes the crashes with the latest xorg and Intel.
I thought it was related to a driver bug recently introduced. Hopefully the patches make it up stream soon enough.
