Wireless Tools

Hi,

im new to the forum so dont realy know if this is the right place for this. But i saw that wireless_tools have a newer version 28 than 28pre9-1 that supports Wireless Extension v11 to v20 insted ov v11 to v19. Im sure this is pland to be uppgraded soon but thoght maybe a heads up is good. Since v20 is needed for the 2.6.17-rc6 and the new bcm43xx drive that works well for me but i cant use iwlist scan whith out wireless_tools that supports v20.

Greate work whit distro i love it thanks!

Re: Wireless Tools

The normal way to give the devs a "heads up" is to go here and click 'Flag Package Out-of-Date'.

Re: Wireless Tools

I flagged it. I have no actual problem with my ipw2200, but the following warning issued each five seconds when running X is really annoying:
"Warning: driver for device eth0 has been compiled with version 20 of wireless extension, while this program supports up to version 19. Some thing may be broken..."
