Wifi doesnt connect automatically due to p2p-wlan device

My laptop had a broadcom Wifi adapter, I recently plugged in an intel 7260 card

I use systemd and wpa_supplicant for network management since it has very little overhead - this was working great before.

Now however when I boot, the wifi isnt connected, If I open wpa_gui, I see a device "p2p-dev-wlp3s0" as the first entry and I have to manually select "wlp3s0" and click connect before I get online.

How do I disable this p2p thing - I have no use for it

Thanks in advance

What is the output of "ip link"?
How did you configure your wifi firsttime?

Which services, specifically, do you have enabled?
