Wifi connection is slower in Arch than in Windows

Hello

I am having troubles with my wifi connection: I can successfully use it but it is SO SLOW. On Windows, with the same hardware, I can reach easily a download speed of 3 MegaByte/s, while in Arch I can't get past 300 KB/s, sometimes it goes up to 600-700 KB/s but only for short bursts. Downloading the same file (from Amazon S3) on Windows and on Arch shows the difference clearly; the same happens with Dropbox's synchronization speed

I am using wget, but the problem arises in all download processes (e.g. browsing internet or watching the same video on YouTube etc..)
I have also used the aria2 download utility, with similar results (Arch being a lot slower)

You can try lowering the txrate, and setting high values to rts/fragmentation threshold.
