[Solved] - Windows Will Not Open With Network Cable Plugged In?

Hello, I'm having a strange problem.  When I boot up my laptop with the ethernet cable plugged in I can't get any windows to open.  Everything works fine if I unplug the Ethernet cable and reboot.  Any ideas what may be going on or where to look for a solution?  I thought it may be a plugin acting up or something like that but even if I blow the XFCE config away entirely it still demonstates the same behavior.  What am I missing?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I can't get any windows to open

This is not a usable error description, please see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855

However I predict that you didn't set a hostname, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne … e_hostname
