DHCPCD Sytemd

Greetings:

I am using a usb dongle to get gigabit ethernet. I have installed wicd, wicd-gtk. I took me awhile but everything is working. What is annoying me is that although dhcpcd is disabled, I still get the message "start job running for dhcpcd on eno1" which has to time-out before I can login. Eno1 is my internal ethernet card (only 10/100). I have the correct client id in wicd for my dongle, so what is still trying to start dhcpcd on eno1? Any help would be appreciated. Again, everything is working I just need to get rid of the time-out to eno1.

Re: DHCPCD Sytemd

What services do you have enabled?  If you have the generic dhcpcd.service enabled this is expected, you will want to disable that and (if needed) enabled dhcpcd@.service for the interface you use.
