i`m setting up proftpd and it seems to be working ok, except i cant get it to let users view a folder on my windows partition.
i`ve tried binding it with;
mount --bind /windows/folder /home/ftp
which allows me to view from root but doesn`t show via an ftp client.
maybe it's a permission thing?
do an ls -al and tell us what the permissions are for the folders and files.
loading.... please wait....
I know this is kind of obvious, but is there something in /windows/folder? it might be an empty directory or maybe you didn't mount /windows?
i think its probably a permission thing because i can mount it and use as root, but i never thought of trying to mount as user :oops:
i`ll have a look l8r cus not at my box right now
