2FA Google Authenticator and SSH

I've succesfully setup 2FA for SSH but I am wondering whether I can change the behavior. By default, it will ask for the 6-digit code to be entered. However, some applications like when logging into Google, or when using the Lastpass authenticator and logging into the lastpass app with 2FA enabled, it will popup a dialog on my phone asking to allow or deny. I can still use the 6-digit code, but pressing yes logs me in automatically.

Is this possible with SSH as well?
