Start up messages without screen

I run Arch in my server.
That server has no screen nor keyboard permanently attached.

So I can't see the start up messages and check what daemons started OK.
Are those messages sent to a log file?

No, they're not, but you can check which daemons started successfully with

ls /var/run/daemons
