I would like to replace my ISP router with a Linux box but no documentation on systemd.networkd using PPPoE ?
Someone tried to do this ?

If you are looking for easy config, netctl my help. It comes with example configs.

Re: PPPOE with systemd-networkd

Quoting Docbroke, netctl has a ready-to-go example, but...if you're aiming at security, beware: I'm not seeing any options to set e.g. chap instead of pap (password is sent in clear text).
Basically, in a home network this should never(?) produce a security fault, at least if your ISP is giving the same username/password to all of their customers, but i wouldn't recommend a ppp based on pap for other uses.

Re: PPPOE with systemd-networkd

I am not sure what netctl uses pap or chap, probably it chooses depending on what ISP supports ? As an alternative OP can use ppp, it will need some configuration, but it is well documented in the wiki.

EDIT: netctl uses ppp for pppoe connections, so just like ppp (which chooses chap or pap depending on what ISP supports), it may be choosing pap or chap.

Re: PPPOE with systemd-networkd

I didn't realize that ppp authentication worked like that, it's a bad security hole.
I'll start a talk in the Wiki, it shouldn't be suggested to use the one or the other as if they're the same.

EDIT: some rewriting
