[SOLVED] VMWare workstation issue

Hello All;
I have installed vmware-workstation 14.1.0-4 with yaourt. i have this errors

==> No kernel 4.14.5-1-ARCH modules. You must install them to use DKMS!

First of all, please use code instead of quote tags. Also, please inform people who are interested in helping you that you haven taken this issue here from a thread on the corresponding AUR page.

Concerning your question: It appears that you might be dealing with a XY problem. Could you please remove the `vmware-workstation` package and install it manually by means of makepkg and pacman? Also, don't forget about the maintainer's pinned comment:

After the first installation, don't forget to:
1) reboot or load vmw_vmci and vmmon kernel modules (modprobe -a vmw_vmci vmmon)
2) Enable the services you need:
- vmware-networks.service: to have network access in VMs
- vmware-usbarbitrator.service: to connect USB devices inside VMs
- vmware-hostd.service: to share VMs on the network

For people who would stay on VMware 12.5.7, use the following commands. This old version should be compatible with the next Linux LTS (4.14).
% git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/vmware-workstation.git
% cd vmware-workstation
% git checkout 2965e8782be11ce0049f32fafa96b2d60c0282c8
% makepkg -si

Then, if you are still having issues, please report back with the exact commands you have issued and their corresponding outputs.

Make sure you upgrade your system (-Syu) because it looks like you might have a kernel mismatch.

Hello circleface i have upgraded the system with

pacman -Syu

and i'm now working on linux kernel 4.14.9-1

and have done the command

Thank you robg for your replay i have upgraded to linux 4.14.10-1 and Vmware-workstation is working now.
