LXC, LXCFS and CGMANAGER.

Is there any reason why cgmanager is still a dep from these two packages? From the latest lxc update (3.0.0), cgmanager has been deprecated (https://brauner.github.io/2018/02/20/lx … ivers.html).

Also, the cgmanager service fails to start (errors like "cgmanager.service: Start request repeated too quickly") since a long time and there is very little discussion about this on the internet. As a consequence, lxcfs also fails to start because it requires to go up after cgmanager, although it can work without this dep.

I have used these two on other distro and it does indeed install without cgmanager (debian testing, ubuntu).

Am I missing something here? If not, how can I contact the maintainer to ask for this change?

Thanks for the attention!

Hi,

Welcome to the forum! You can file a bug report. Follow the link in the nav bar at the top right. Use the search function first to check if a similar report has already been filed before posting a new one.

Closing as this is best dealt with on the bug tracker.
