[SOLVED] Xorg-server not launching some applications after reboot

Setup is a MacBook Pro with Arch running on Parallels.

Everything seems to work fine until I reboot the VM. Thunar, terminator, firefox and most others cease launching. However, dmenu and most xfce4 applications (e.g. settings, logout, panel) still launch.

If I reinstall xorg-server and relaunch it without rebooting everything goes back to normal.

Re: [SOLVED] Xorg-server not launching some applications after reboot

For posterity:

It was in the service

prl-x11

which is installed as part of parallels tools.

Manifested as:

 # /var/log/Xorg.0.log

> (II) Initializing extension GLX
> (II) PRL-GLX: Compiled for 1.20.0 XServer
> (WW) PRL-GLX: Can't load PrlCtlCreateGLXDrawable function: /usr/lib/Xorg: undefined symbol: PrlCtlCreateGLXDrawable
> (EE) PRL-GLX: Can't load needed external symbols!
> (EE) PRL-GLX: Can't initialize GLX screen
> (EE) PRL-GLX: Can't register GLX extension

Haven't investigated much deeper. Disabling the service with systemctl is good enough for the ladies I date.
