Hello everyone, I'm glad to join the arch community
I am trying to add a few iptables rules to my machine for example just listing the filter table rules:
`sudo iptables -t filter -nvL`
Fails because the required kernel objects are not loaded.
locate iptable_filter.ko.xz shows that the kernel object can be found under
'/usr/lib/modules/**/iptable_filter.ko.xz'
But I know that modprobe for example looks under /lib/modules/**
What can I do to make this work?
Thanks in advance.

Please paste exact commands and the full output, not obfuscated excerpts: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855
Also paste the output of `pacman -Q iptables` and `uname -a`.

Sorry, I thought my explanation was clear enough.
Anyway, Because I have upgraded my kernel and did not reboot my machine, I finally realized that modprobe was looking at the older kernel version folder.
Simply rebooting my machine resolved my issue ![]()
