[SOLVED] NetworkManager cannot read libnm.so.0

Context

So after using arch linux happily for almost a year it finally happened I run pacman -Syu and forgot to plugin the power cable.
So this is it my first arch forum post.
After booting from an usb stick I managed to restore most of the system using the fabulous arch wiki
Pacman crashes during an update.
However I got many "files already exist" errors, so I checked if they are owned by someone and moved them to

/tmp/...

The problem that I still have is that the networkmanager-dispatcher does not work.

Problem

When running

 systemctl status NetworkManager-dispatcher.service

I get:

archlinux nm-dispatcher[6111]: /usr/lib/nm-dispatcher: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libnm.so.0: cannot read fi

I copied

/tmp/usr/lib/libnm.so.0

back to

/usr/lib/libnm.so.0

but still not luck.
Does anyone have advice how to fix this?

Cheers Georg:)

Sidenote: is this the right place to post or should I have posted in the newbiecorner?

Re: [SOLVED] NetworkManager cannot read libnm.so.0

I am so stupid I thought libnm is just some file and not a package.

Solution

For anyone having similar issues a pacman update of libnm followed by deleting all "file already exists" that are not owned by another package did the trick.

Re: [SOLVED] NetworkManager cannot read libnm.so.0

Thanks for sharing your solution, however, the error you claim to have in the first post (files do not exist) differs from the error you describe in the second (file already exists). This illustrates the need to post exact errors rather than paraphrasing or recreating messages from memory (see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855). Please bear this in mind for future posts.

Mod note: This isn't network manager specific, as any package could be affected by the power cut, so moving to NC.
