Virtualize Intel GVT-g GPU onto the host

Hi there,

I initially started this thread to ask if there is a way to run mulitple x servers using the same Intel GPU. Turns out the answer is a NO, since xorg needs a separate GPU per server. So one of the ways to achieve multiple GPUs from the same one is to use virtualization (with Intel GVT-g) using things like KVM, but there is no need for that level of isolation for this idea.  But is there a way to virtualize the gpu back onto the host so it appears as a distinct PCI express device, if that makes sense?

Thanks smile
