Hi,
After reading through the wiki and trying out various stuff (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ba … ne_options and https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/HP … muting_key) some of the Fn-Keys (namely Brightness and Mic) are not working. xev doesn't even see them and evtest reports, that I was pressing the same key (KEY_FN_ESC) for all three keys.

As it was written inhttps://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=230932 I also tried to set
acpi_osi=
but didn't do anything to be honest.
To be completely honest during the startup the laptop shows some BIOS bugs (AE_AML_BUFFER_LIMIT, AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT) which I'm going to try to fix, as soon as I manage to create a bios update disk from the exe, as there is no windows installation on this machine.
Do you think they are related? If not do you have any idea what else I could try?
Thanks and cheers,
Stiefel

probably not - you usually get bios warnings like that on most systems.
If not do you have any idea what else I could try?

If you find something that works, please report back.
Cheers

Hi,
sorry, that it took me so long to come back. So upgrading the BIOS to the currently newest version (01.03.04 Rev.A) solved the issue with the brightness buttons, but everything else stayed as it was. I'm going to try the mapping trick some time later which is mentioned for G1 in the wiki.
I'll report back if the mapping works, but I doubt it would. I think I tried it already...
Cheers,
stiefel

Anyone found any solution to this? I'm still having this issue.
