I installed NetworkManager and 'gnome-network-manager' from testing and had the odd problem that nothing showed up when I ran 'nm-applet'. I then installed NetworkManager from the community repositories. It loaded in the task bar in fluxbox. It also loaded under gnome. However, after a restart, it once again failed to load. Anyone experience this? Anyone know of a solution?
When I run 'nm-applet' a space appears in the taskbar for a moment (supposedly for the new icon) but it disappears after seconds and nothing appears. 'nm-applet' neither terms nor errs.

Once of the daemons wasn't loaded. I learned that I must load these two in this order:
/etc/rc.d/dhcddb start
/etc/rc.d/networkmanager start
Then it loads into the task bar.
