Get pcie network card driver without internet.
Just installed Arch and I'm currently working on getting connected to my network. I tried to follow the same path that I have with previous installations but wifi-menu needs an update according to Arch this post.
I then realized that I probably don't have the driver for my pcie network card, that brought me to here . However that fortunate feller was already able to connect to the net so he was able to download the package and be done. How would I download the package so that I could plug in a usb and run it and have it all work? Or am I going about this all wrong and there is a better way.
Info:
Linux 5.6.8-arch1-1 x64
Network card: Archer T6E(US)

Networking worked in the install media? Plug it in, boot into that and download and install the driver.

Sorry I forgot to mention that im still booted off the USB. Um not sure how that effects the networking.

The USB being the installation media? What is the lspci -nnk entry for the NIC?

Yes, USB is my installation media
lspci -nnk

Just for progeny,
https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/b43?s[]=14e4&s[]=43a0
indicates that BCM4360 [14e4:43a0] is not supported.

This is wonderful!
Just to make sure I'm not misunderstanding, how to I make sure that both broadcom-wl and wpa-supplicant are working before I install and boot the OS?
Why is it important to install these now? In your post you say that they are included in the iso (is that not what im using currenyly) but advise to install them before installing the OS.

You install them and then, when you have comepleted all the other aspects of the install, you reboot into your newly installed system and use those packages to set up networking.
If you don't install them to the chrooted machine, you'll need to got back to the live media for an Internet connection.
