Here is the config from the router

When I unplugged the cable connection, I can't ping my router...
can anyone help
Have you tried to turn it off and on again?

sounds like a routing issue, before and after you unplug your cable, copy the output of 'route'

Hm I have set the default gw after unplugging the cable
route add default gw 192.168.2.1
I post later, atm not on my Laptop
Have you tried to turn it off and on again?

I've the same problem since the last update! My ipw2200 didn't work anymore.
When i use dhcp, my wlan card get an IP and the essid is correct, but I can't ping the router...
Everything was ok before...

Well, one problem at least is that you're using hidden SSID. I've never managed to get that working (and I read that somewhere that there's not full support for it in linux yet). Not revealing SSID doesn't offer alot of security anyway, so you might as well turn it on. Now what you really want to do is encrypt your network (after you get it working unencrypted first), and tell the router to use WPA with whatever key algorithm.
And you don't need to set default gateway when using DHCP, it fetches all those settings for you. Keep in mind that Wireless card will have another HW address than your cable-part-of-the-card (:p), which is that you need to run dhcp while being unplugged. Also make sure you have no MAC-filters enabled or anything like that and added only your wired MAC address.

Thanks, this was the solution, never hide the SSID under Linux...

Yes I know, and I will do that
And you don't need to set default gateway when using DHCP, it fetches all those settings for you. Keep in mind that Wireless card will have another HW address than your cable-part-of-the-card (Razz), which is that you need to run dhcp while being unplugged. Also make sure you have no MAC-filters enabled or anything like that and added only your wired MAC address.
But I have only 2 Computers, so I dont need DHCP, and MAC-filters are the same thing as hidden SSIDs...its easy to break..
Have you tried to turn it off and on again?

My essid is not hidden and I don't use a MAC filter.
I didn't define a gateway in my network profile.
Everything was working fine before update...
I'll try to disable the WEP encryption and post more details...
