Hello, first of all excuse my english. I'll try to be as clear as be possible.
I have a printer (HP, to model write in the title) that can't install. The steps I did was:
1. Install CUPS (follow the wiki), in this point I also:
a. Install cups-pdf
b. Start and enable the service.
2. Activate the socket
3. Install hplip and hplip-plugins
The printer is connected via usb, the lsusb output is:
[rodrigo@escritorio ~]$ lsusb
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 046d:c077 Logitech, Inc. M105 Optical Mouse
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 04e8:6860 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd Galaxy series, misc. (MTP mode)
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 03f0:112a HP, Inc HP LaserJet CP 1025nw
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 04f3:0103 Elan Microelectronics Corp. ActiveJet K-2024 Multimedia Keyboard
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
So, the printer is read by the system, but the issue start here, because when I try to install it with hp-setup, show me "no devices found".
And in the terminal the message is:
[rodrigo@escritorio ~]$ hp-setup

The HP LaserJet Pro cp1025nw requires additional software to work under linux..
You can use foo2zjs-nightly or a binary plugin from HP.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/CU … roblems#HP has some details.
Whichever option you choose, it will require building packages from AUR.
If you haven't done that before you'll need to read up a lot.
I suggest to start with https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ar … Repository and https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_Build_System
Welcome to archlinux forum.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Hello Lone_Wolf, thank you for the fast answer.
I try to install the package foo2zjs-nightly from AUR using yay, but it have some problem, it give me the message:
==> ERROR: Se produjo un fallo en prepare().
Cancelando...
In english:
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in prepare().
Aborting...
Reading a little I found this post in pastebin:
The same issue, but without solution or comments.
In the comments of package (AUR), some users talk about the same problem, it suppose was caused for a patch in its solve.
Thank you.

Hello, I'm install the foo2zjs-nightly package from git but still not working.
When I run:
sudo hp-check
I get the follow output:
/usr/bin/hp-check:685: SyntaxWarning: "is not" with a literal. Did you mean "!="?

Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the
HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro
supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode
will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).
Check types:
a. EXTERNALDEP - External Dependencies
b. GENERALDEP - General Dependencies (required both at compile and run time)
c. COMPILEDEP - Compile time Dependencies

Perhaps this help for the problem.
As I have no scanner, I don't care the scanner mistakes (I suppose that is not important in this case, but may I wrong).
When update the system, there are not option for the missing packages.
Thank you.
