Xorg breaks with segmentation fault when running 'xrandr --auto'

I've moved to a new laptop and now I'm having trouble to connect my external HDMI monitor to it. Whenever I run xrandr, my X server breaks with a segmentation fault in /usr/lib/libc.so.6. I haven`t been able to find a solution, nor any similar problem on the internet. If anyone has any thought, I'd really appreciate. Thanks!

(==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf"

post the contents of that file please.

Also output of

$ lspci -k
$ pacman -Qs nvidia

Welcome to forums

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
Automounting / udisks2 : unnnecessary, prefer mounting manually with pmount
Aur helpers : not needed
favourite command : # systemctl set-default multi-user.target

Re: Xorg breaks with segmentation fault when running 'xrandr --auto'

Hello!

I have the same problem after trying to use an external monitor with my laptop for the first time. I do

xrandr --output eDP1 --off --output HDMI-1-0 --auto

and Xorg crashes.
