Xorg breaks with segmentation fault when running 'xrandr --auto'

I've moved to a new laptop and now I'm having trouble to connect my external HDMI monitor to it. Whenever I run xrandr, my X server breaks with a segmentation fault in /usr/lib/libc.so.6. I haven`t been able to find a solution, nor any similar problem on the internet. If anyone has any thought, I'd really appreciate. Thanks!

Re: Xorg breaks with segmentation fault when running 'xrandr --auto'

Hello!

I have the same problem after trying to use an external monitor with my laptop for the first time. I do

xrandr --output eDP1 --off --output HDMI-1-0 --auto

and Xorg crashes.
