Cant get built-in mic to work.

arecord -vv -fdat test.wav wields a good result but when i try to use the built-in mic of my ideapad 330 in any application like discord, microsoft teams or whatsapp web my mic doesn't work. i did everything in the pulseaudio troubleshoot page but the problem persists

UPDATE: parec -r --file-format=wav test.wav kinda works, the audio is a bit crackly but it works

just read this post and yes, it seems to be the same problem, arecord -Dhw:0 test.wav also complains that the sample format is not available and all the same stuff.
