Hello.
I think this is a networking issue, but it might be an application problem.
I wanted to forward all IRC traffic through tor, but the connection timesout as described below.
I installed tor and privoxy. I configured privoxy to forward connections to Socks5 TOR as described in this tutorial https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/privoxy.
I configured my browser to use the HTTP proxy and everything is working fine. I can connect to .onion sites and so on.
Then I configured irssi to use HTTP proxy as described here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/irssi#HTTP_Proxy
But when I connect to some IRC server (IRC connection works without the HTTP proxy) the client connects: HTTP/1.1 200 Connection established, but after a while it timed out: ERROR Closing link: (unknown@x.x.x.x) [Registration timeout
Also I configured rtorrent as described here: https://github.com/chros73/rtorrent-wik … g-Guide.md , I tested everything, but when I try to download something the PEERS are not available.
Any advice please?
