why not vim + gtk2 ?

arch's current vim is compiled with gtk1 support
it would be nice to see vim with gtk2 support tongue

is it in any way beta?  Or is it just something that wasn't converted?  I htink it's safe to say that you should submit a bug report to have it changed.
