How do i get the sound working?

I read the guide, Installed alsa-utils tried to enable sound, tried again by watching few youtube videos, yet I am unable to get the sound working. I am running Arch in a VM, can you tell me what I am doing wrong or help me?

The host could be muted, the VM could be muted, the system could be muted, the client you tried could be muted, the client could default to or hard-depend on a non-existent PA server, PA might be misconfigured, …

You can do that, but instead of poking around, you can also just provide us w/ some relevant data so we can make an informed comment on what the problem might be.
Just "it doesn't work, can you help me to make it work" won't work - obviously.

Assuming you have 'pulseaudio' (or pipewire), an easy first step is to run pavucontrol and make sure nothing is muted, which is my most common source of no sound:

pavucontrol

Also have a program playing sound and check if the Playback levels are changing, as "firefox" in this image:
