Is there any way to connect to a SMB server via Samba without a suffix

I've setup a Samba server on my Arch linux desktop. In my /etc/samba/smb.conf I setup a share folder and named the share section [sambashare]

Now I connect to it on my Windows laptop with run:\\192.168.x.x\sambashare.

Is there any way to share files via samba without using the share section name suffix in the subnet mask. I'm not sure if I explained it correctly.

I'm attempting to connect to the SMB server on a 20-year-old PS2. I've tried just naming the section [] like this didn't make it far when I tried to launch the smb.service. I've searched the web and everywhere people just use names for their share sections.

Is it even possible?
