[Solved]LibreOffice - templates in wrong language

Hallo,
i have this installed:

$ yay -Qs libreoffice
local/libreoffice-fresh 7.1.5-1
    LibreOffice branch which contains new features and program enhancements
local/libreoffice-fresh-de 7.1.5-1
    German language pack for LibreOffice Fresh

The program gui is in german but when i open a 'template' or generate something with the 'letter assistant' its in english. Its annoying to manually replace 'date', 'greetings', 'endings' and such. I already deleted the profile to reset the program.

Any idea how to fix this?

Change the annoying parts and save as new template (.ott) file in your $HOME/Templates folder.

I think you'll find most templates to be written in English, simply because it's tedious for the template maker to translate all the templates into many languages, while it's easy for the template user to translate the ones needed into the languages needed.

What I do is add categories to my personal template path (set in Tools-Options-LibreOffice-Paths-Templates) by creating subfolders.
These subfolders will show up in the categories list when you choose File-New-Templates.

If you add a category for German templates and then translate the templates you need and put them in there, then at least you'd have a neat way to access the templates you  translate.

Looks like you're right. The templates seem single language (en) only. Didn't expect that for built-in templates though. I will customize them manually then.

Thank you!
