At some point in the last week, the lock screen option was removed from the power off menu in Gnome 40.4.0. The shortcut key for locking the computer also does nothing, and I have yet to figure out how to lock the screen again.
Is this a known bug? Or has this feature been removed?
Any ideas how to trouble shoot this?
Thanks!

I am not using Gnome at the moment, so I cannot answer your questions.
One thing to check. Have you updated your system without rebooting? I am wondering if the kernel you are running is older then the one that is currently installed.

Thanks, I tried restarting but no luck. Is there any way to find out what the default program is handling lock screen?

@Jphilips: Ever found a solution, I have the same issues (no lock menu entry, no action when perssion lock screen key combination).
I think this was handled by the screensaver, at least on X. Not sure if I have to install waylock or sway manually, and what the generic way is. And moreover I wonder why this broke with Gnome 40.

Solution: Do not disable /org/gnome/desktop/lockdown/disable-lock-screen (however this happend here).
