Re: USB webcam mic not working

Check in pavucontrol that the webcam is listed under input devices and not muted. You should see the gray volume bar in pavucontrol react when you type on your keyboard or make some other noise in the room.

So, have you checked pavucontrol or not?

Re: USB webcam mic not working

The output above confirms the mic is present but you are not attempting to record anything at all. What are you using for testing recording and as mentioned, check in pavucontrol that whatever you are recording is recording from the USB mic.

While trying mictests.com site, pavucontrol is showing USB PHY device in firefox as being used in Recording tab.

Great, but is there activity in the volume bar in pavucontrol when you make noise?

Then make sure the mute button in pavucontrol is off and set the volume to 100%. If you still get nothing, then I don't know what else to do.

Googling for this Jieli cam, it looks like Linux support is not very good at the moment: https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-med … 80041.html

So perhaps this is an issue with the Linux driver and there is nothing you can do except use a different cam. I have a Logitech C922, which works fine on Linux.

Re: USB webcam mic not working

Yes webcam works fine in Windows.  But looks like there is no support of Linux.  Thanks.
