We are trying to find a detailed explanation of why dead connections simply stay there like zombies, instead of closing.

To do this we need to find all the information that regards:
- mounting integrity checks
- samba mounts integrity checks (i know it is not only for samba that this happens, but it is the most common case).

The idea is to end having an entry in the wiki that says how it is/isn't possible to fix this, with detailed information, so that developers just have to think how; we do the initial information research.
