VLC opens two windows [Gnome shell]

VLC media player 3.0.16 Vetinari (revision 3.0.13-8-g41878ff4f2)
GNOME Shell 41.3

I did check 'Allow only one instance' as well as 'Allow only one instance when started from file manager'

printenv | grep DBUS

? Wayland or xorg? Works fine here on KDE.

Go to Tools > Preferences > Look and feel and check Integrate video in interface:

No, it won't.

I have checked even the VLC's gitlab issues with no solution.

If you don't know/want to help at least do not bother, because I have done the preliminary work. Thanks.

Where does that guid and that starter address come from and do they match for VLC?

tr '\0' '\n' < /proc/$(pidof vlc)/environ

FWIW I do see where ishan is coming from as at least in the screenshot it does look like that is your issue.

And on experimenting with this there can be very weird behaviours if you toggle this, so make sure the embedded into interface checkbox is checked, close the window and make sure no vlc process is still running with e.g.

killall -9 vlc
