I'm using pipewire, pipewire-pulse is also installed. I have an Acer Nitro AN515-44 V1.04. It only has 1 mini jack port, i plugged my headphones (Hator hypergang evo), output works fine, but the microphone is not recognised, if testing with pavucontrol, it only shows Microphone, element web in chromium detects it as Family 17h/19h HD Audio Controller Analog Stereo. I did some googling and found this thread: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=352073.
But
cat /proc/asound/card*/codec* | grep Codec
gives

I did add this into /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, resulting in
options snd-hda-intel model=Nvidia GPU 94 HDMI/DP,Realtek ALC295
But the mic still doesn't get recognised.

That model list is invalid (and it doesn't make much sense to use the same exact model that is already autodetected, if that was working you wouldn't need to try to manipulate it), the available values are listed in https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ … odels.html judging by the thread you found what you want to test is.
# model=auto handles the nvidia hdmi with the standard codec, dell-headset-multi applies the relevant model override over your detected alc codec, other potential alternatives to dell-headset-multi: headset-mic, aspire-headset-mic
options snd-hda-intel model=auto,dell-headset-multi
Note you need to reboot for these to apply.

I didn't do enough testing, reopening. I tried to use jitsi today, and it only detects the laptop mic + i also wanted to try noisetorch, and it also only detects the laptop mic. I tried setting headset-mic instead of dell-headset-multi, pavucontrol doesn't detect, then tried aspire-headset-mic, detected by pavucontrol, but not detected by noisetorch. I don't really know what else should i say

I am sorry for not replying. Tried it, nothing changed, rebooted, still no changes. I also tried the same command but removing an extra space before the device name, same thing. Here's all of the above commands after rebooting and entering the command again with noisetorch working on laptop microphone.
