Connecting a second monitor

I am quit new to Arch linux and i want to connect a second Monitor. The Problem is it does not work. I have tried it in the past and there it worked but now i will not connect and when i type "xrandr" there is nothing found on HDMI-1. I probably miss something but i really have no idea how to "fix" it.

Re: Connecting a second monitor

Welcome.  Assuming the monitor is on, and the correct input is selected.  After verifying this, please post the actual output of xrandr

Re: Connecting a second monitor

No, you'll please edit your post right now.
Then look at post #3 and provide that information, too.
The xrandr output really doesn't say all that much about the situation beyond "yeah, it's not there".

Re: Connecting a second monitor

What?
Your xorg log and the system journal - for the latter I typed in the literla command to feed it into a pastebin service and the former has a link on where to find it.

How did you install archlinux?
