Hello! Thank you for viewing!
There are two problems with timeshift that I have right now.
1. Although snapshots are being created, they aren't being listen anymore when I open the GUI or use timeshift --delete
2. When I use timeshift --create the creation point is stuck at 0.0%
Is anyone else facing this issue?

Try rebuilding timeshift and see if that makes any difference.

I did. It seems like an issue with the bin and the source release

I am also having issues with Timeshift after I updated my system a couple of days ago. Perhaps something to do with rsync?

Some update has seemed to fix it. Can anyone please tell what update fixed the issue? Also, after this has been stated can someone please tell me how to mark this solved?

It is due to this version. If you take a look at the Linux Mint GitHub, someone has opened an 'issue' about this issue. It appeared that the fix is in glibc2 version 2.74.0-2
However, I have the same version as yours, and it works for some reason. I can't see to figure out why this is the case.
Apparently the glibc2 version that you have is also causing GIMP to crash.

Arch just sent an update for Glibc2. Please update and let me know if the issue is still there.

Thank you! ... After updating to the new version of glib2 and system reboot, Timeshift work perfectly.

New version of glib2 not solve all bugs with timeshift. In GUI timeshift crashes when a create or delete snapshot. Deleting is not succesfull.

Yes. The CLI works though. Do you want me to remove the 'Solved' status until the GUI problem is also solved?

Yes, please

Changed it. Since this package is being managed by Linux Mint, I suspect that they won't release a fix soon as I heard it is working fine on their distro.

After upgrading to glib2 2.74.0-2 and rebooting, I started a new restore point in the Timeshift GUI - it ran fine !

Today, after starting the restore point creation again, the Timeshift window crashed again.
Probably due to other package updates received in the meantime

This is the first time something in Arch has broke for me. I actually found Arch to be more stable then Mint. Feeling disappointed and confused!

Hello,
I am a newbie here.
I have installed Timeshift yesterday and I can confirm that it is not possible to create 1st snapshot.
I installed Timeshift from the AUR. This is what the partition of my 2 TB SSD looks like.
/sda1 - boot
/sda2 - system - 20 GB - ext4
/sda3 - home - 1,2 TB - ext4 - here I like to have stored all my backups.
I use the RSYNC method.
Timeshift crashes during the creation of snapshots.
Tank you for your answers.

The CLI works. Please use the CLI command until this gets fixed.

Timeshift from CLI:
Examples:
sudo timeshift --create --tags O
sudo timeshift --restore #interactive
sudo timeshift --restore --snapshot "2015-01-21_19-28-43" --backup-device /dev/sda2 --target-device /dev/sda1 --skip-grub
sudo timeshift --delete #interactive
sudo timeshift --delete --snapshot "2015-01-21_19-28-43"
sudo timeshift --delete-all #completely remove all snapshots

Thank you for that. It helps me for the moment and partially fixes my problem.
