No Sound after Certain Updates

For some time now I've been having a problem with audio that sometimes includes video that I haven't got a clue where to begin troubleshooting, so I decided to post to this knowledgeable forum.
The situation is that after doing a system update audio, sometimes video as well, doesn't work for streaming services like Netflix in Firefox, Brave, or Edge.  Streaming also doesn't work in YouTube.  Sometimes it is just audio that doesn't work but just as often video doesn't work either.  For example, clicking on a YouTube video will open it, and it will go through the motions of loading, but nothing happens.
A computer restart usually eliminates the problem.  I've been trying to notice patterns, and the only pattern I've been able to notice is when the updates include something that involves audio, like a pipewire update or a browser update, the problem starts after the updates complete.  This is the only pattern I've been able to notice over time, as if updating resets something that causes an audio malfunction, but I could be way off the mark here.  As I mentioned, I really haven't got a clue as to what to even show you to help troubleshoot.
This morning the only audio related program I recognized that was updated was the Brave browser.  After this I tested Netflix on Firefox and there was no audio.  Tweaking in pavucontrol did nothing, but after a computer restart all worked normally.
Naturally, my predicament is I need to troubleshoot at the time that the problem is occurring.  I may not be able to get back to you in a timely fashion because of this.
At the moment, even though sound is working, I'm not sure why:

$
sudo systemctl status pipewire
Unit pipewire.service could not be found.

Here is some more info.  Not sure what might be of use.

$
sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*

Re: No Sound after Certain Updates

Generally updates to the pipewire/wireplumber stack can lead to one or the other trying to load a lib that either isn't present anymore (... because it got replaced) or when trying to load get into an internal conflict since the general versions don't match. If you want to be absolutely sure restart the pipewire stack after a pipewire/wireplumber update

systemctl --user restart pipewire wireplumber pipewire-pulse

(Note the --user and the lack of sudo, these are user services you need to run them and check their status as your normal user)

Re: No Sound after Certain Updates

Thank you V1del, I shall try your suggestion the next time I run into this problem.
Since you mentioned "can lead to" I wonder if there are any others who have run into this predicament?
