[Solved] No video playback in any browser

Hello,

I am having an issue in the last couple of days. Any sort of video stream keeps freezing. I tried amazon prime, twitch, youtube... both in firefox an chromium. Nothing works. In some websites it just freezes, in others the loading icon keeps going. It never starts playing. I played a video in vlc with no issues, but other than that I don't even know where to star looking for the problem.

What hardware are you using? Are you using X or Wayland?

Did you install or uninstall anything? Did you update the system? pacman's log may be relevant if so. Did you configure anything differently?

You can also try to see if a different user account exhibits the same problem.

I updated recently, but I believe I could watch streams after the update. Once I found the issue I tried to update again. I have very long associated pacman logs, is there a way to post it without cluttering the comment?

Meanwhile, it seems pulseaudio can be a culprit. I will try searching that.

Pulseaudio sink issue was the clue I needed. I found this post:

It helped me diagnose the issue was happening when my computer hibernated, and I solved it by commenting

#load-module module-suspend-on-idle

on /etc/pulse/default.pa
